From St. Simons to Sea Island, if it's not one thing it's the other. For, while the land speculators are busy trying to sell off lots on the Spit before the rising tides wash the dunes away, the Land Trust people are busily trying to spread asphalt through the marsh in the name of bikes.
Never mind that in the rest of the country bikes and cars manage to share the road. When the Sea Island elite scoot like bats out of hell to leave their retreat, they can't be bothered slowing down for bicycles in the street.
